Cottagers to remain unchanged, Sunderland wait on duo

Fulham will be aiming to maintain their push for a top-eight finish when out-of-sorts Sunderland travel to Craven Cottage on Sunday.

The Cottagers will go into their final home game of the season buoyed by their first victory at Anfield over Liverpool in midweek.

Fulham moved level on points with Liverpool with success on Merseyside and the West London side have taken 13 points from their last six games.

Sunderland on the other hand have gone six Premier League games without a win, their longest winless spell of the season, drawing five of those six matches.

Fulham boss Martin Jol is expected to return to the bench after missing the last two games at Everton and Liverpool with a chest infection.

Jol has no fresh injury worries to contend with from the win over Liverpool and is expected to keep faith with the side that came away with the three-point haul.

Bryan Ruiz, Andy Johnson, Steve Sidwell and Zdenek Grygera all remain sidelined through injury.

Sunderland news

Sunderland defender John O'Shea and striker Nicklas Bendtner are battling to be fit for the trip to Fulham.

The duo picked up foot injuries in training this week, but manager Martin O'Neill is hopeful they will shake off the knocks to make the squad.

O'Neill can call again on Craig Gardner after serving a one-match ban for his recent sending off at Aston Villa.

Kieran Richardson and midfielder Sebastian Larsson have both been ruled out for the remainder of the season after undergoing hernia surgery.

Titus Bramble is back in training after an Achilles problem, but the game will come too soon for the centre-back.
