The 22-year-old joined Spurs in 2007 from Leeds and has gone onto become a member of their first-team squad.
Rose made his name as an attacking player but has subsequently been deployed as a left-back.
He will go straight into the squad for their game against Swansea City on Saturday when he could make his debut.
Rose has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Kieran Richardson who joined Fulham earlier on Friday morning.
The England Under 21 international has made 29 appearances for Spurs.
