All five goals were scored in the second half after a scrappy first period in which the referee dealt two yellow cards to both teams.
Defender Andy Dobby and midfielder Paul Kane also got themselves on the scoresheet for the home side, and Northallerton's Peter Bulmer scored a consolation penalty.
After the game Ryton manager David Hagan said: "We were playing 4-4-2 in the first half, and we switched to three up front. I told the lads to play with a higher line and spread the ball a bit wider.
"We also felt that Northallerton's two at the back were weak and we took advantage of that in the second half."
