WHITLEY Bay remain fifth although they are now out of contention for the title. Two late goals earned them victory at Billingham Town who until recently were embroiled in a battle against relegation.

The Teessiders were without Chris Dunwell who broke a leg in last week's game and striker Jamie Owens was another absentee.

Whitley made the early running and a snapshot by Paul Chow hit the crossbar. The home side came more into the picture and only an excellent tackle by Callum Anderson denied Nicky Martin.

The deadlock was eventually broken 20 minutes from time as man-of-the-match Paul Robinson beat his man and crossed precisely for Chow to head in wide of goalkeeper James Briggs.

Chow was close to a second goal before the Seahorses wrapped up the points when Damon Robson floated a perfect strike into the top corner of the net.
