Pongress: World's Best Ping Pong Players Collide At Cumberland Arms In Newcastle

Ping pong players from across the globe have gathered at the Cumberland Arms in Newcastle for the second International Ping Pong Congress.

'Pongress' is a week-long event which pits the world’s finest players against one another, while they share the finest food and beers from across the North East.

James Alefantis travelled all the way from Washington, USA, to attend the festival.

He said: “Pongress is incredible for meeting people. I get to meet people from all over the world who love art, music, food, ping pong, drinking, and being together.”
