Northumbria University's volleyball team is to be joined by Team GB Olympic star Pater Bakare for the new season.
Team Northumbria is already coached by the Team GB women's assistant coach David Goodchild, who was part of the British squad that earned a first Olympic win in London.
Bakare, who will continue his studies at Northumbria University along with his volleyball training, will spearhead this season's Super Eights charge.
