The London 2012 Olympics has inspired many and has been dubbed 'the Legacy Games'.
Now, Gateshead and Wickham swimming club are benefitting from the upturn in enthusiasm from local children to take up water-sports.
The club has access to a special surfing simulation machine and coaches are seeing how many young swimmers have been inspired by the Olympics to follow in the footsteps of those who competed at the games.
