The Olympic bronze medalist had operations on both his hands in October last year and has been away from the ring since.
On returning to LA he will undergo a rigorous rehab schedule as he aims to continue the successful start he has made to his professional career.
Jeffries is unbeaten since turning professional three years ago with a record of nine wins and one draw.
His last bout was a victory by a points decision against Paul Morby in September, and he hopes to be fighting again May.
