Video: Defying death in High Gosforth Park

The Extreme Stunt Show has been wowing thrill seekers with three death-defying shows.

Sky Bet

The biggest tour of its kind in the country visited the former Seaburn Funpark on Friday July 6 and High Gosforth Park on July 7 and 8.

Compare and stuntman Jumping Jez, originally from Sunderland said: “We always get excited about the stunts, especially when we are in the North East.

“Everything is heavily rehearsed but on a windy day last year I landed short broke five ribs and fractured my back.

“Three months later I was ok, six months later I was fit as a fiddle and on with another tour of the UK.”

The only female performer is Abby Bacon who specialises in flipping cars to a crashing halt.

She said: “Ever since a young age I’ve been doing stupid things, I’m surprised I’m still alive really.”

The team will perform 120 shows in 2012 across the UK and Ireland and will be back in the region in August for a show at Blaydon.
