Steven ‘Bam Bam’ Gardner has only been a professional mixed martial arts fighter since the beginning of March.

Gardner had previously been fighting on an amateur and semi-professional basis with a record of six wins and one defeat to his name.
He has also carried a semi-professional title after victory in the lightweight division after victory at ‘Made for the Cage 2’ in 2011.
Gardner is from Sunderland and now fights under the jurisdiction of the NFA.
Prior to fighting in the Eiko event held in Newcastle, he had lost his only professional bout.
But, after preparing rigorously, Gardner was to gain his first professional win by submission over Mark Aldridge.
