Redcar Bears travel to Tyneside on Sunday to take part in a challenge match in preparation for the 2012 Speedway Premier League.
Diamonds Team Manager George English is optimistic about his side's chances of silverware this coming season.
English said: "We have a strong group of riders now, and with the experience we have I hope this could be a season to remember."
