South Shields comedian Sarah Millican has been answering your questions in an interview with Sky Tyne and Wear.

We caught up with Sarah as she visited to her home town to promote her debut DVD ‘Chatterbox Live’, filmed as part of her sell-out UK tour.

Since winning the 2008 Best Newcomer Award for her debut solo show ‘Not Nice’ at the Edinburgh Fringe, Sarah has gained a nationwide following and in December 2011 she was crowned Queen of Comedy at the British Comedy Awards.

She has her own BBC radio show and makes regular appearances on TV panel shows such as ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ and ‘Eight Out Of Ten Cats’.

Shoppers and stall holders at South Shields market provided the questions for our interview.

They included: Where do you go drinking on a night out in South Shields? What’s your favourite chocolate? Do you still eat trifle with your hands?

Sarah has added a record breaking tenth night to her show ‘Thoroughly Modern Millican’ at Newcastle’s Tyne Theatre in March and April 2012.

Earlier dates sold out within 40 minutes of going on sale.
