A man has been arrested after a fight in a Newcastle bar that left a door supervisor with a suspected fractured skull.
It happened at 12:49am at Bar Bannatyne in The Gate complex in the city centre.
It's thought the victim was injured as he intervened in a fight.
He is being treated at RVI and it's understood his condition is not life threatening.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and is in custody.
