A 31-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after an assault outside Jimmyz Bar on Newcastle Quayside.
Police were called at 9.20pm on Friday August 31 and the victim was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary with serious injuries.
Two men aged 46 and 36 have been arrested on suspicion of assault.
