Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman they need to speak to after nine beef joints were stolen from a Ponteland supermarket.

Detectives believe the pair may have information about the theft from from the the Waitrose supermarket on Main Street in June.

The woman police wish to speak to had blonde hair and was smartly dressed in a three quarter sleeved dark jacket, pink Pashmina-type type scarf, a grey and black striped dress, black leggings, flat shoes. She was carrying a shoulder bag.

The man had close cropped dark hair and was dressed in a grey and black hoodie-style sweatshirt, three-quarter length dark trousers, and dark plimsols.

He was carrying a shopping basket.
