A Gateshead lingerie company will go head to head with major British underwear brands in the UK Lingerie Award Finals.
Tallulah Love, created by former Topshop and Playboy designer Michelle Taylor, has been selected to take part in the prestigious lingerie awards.
The french-inspired underwear company will compete with established brands such as Gossard and Dirty Pretty Things at the 2012 event.
Miss Taylor said: "We can't believe it. For us to be put forward for something this major for the industry has just been brilliant."
Set up in 2010, Tallulah Love has already gained celebrity supporters, including former Gladiator Jet and Jess Wright from TOWIE.
The lingerie is sold in Jess Wright's underwear boutique With Love Jess and has almost sold out in the Essex store.
The brand has also won a number of North East awards, including Newcomer of the Year in the North East Business Awards.Miss Taylor said she is proud to now be representing the North East in a national award ceremony, adding: "This is a great chance to put Newcastle on the map."
Miss Taylor revealed that she once contacted Buckingham Palace to offer to create underwear for Kate Middleton, but despite a reply from the palace they refused to disclose her underwear measurements.
The company, who send underwear to shops in Dubai, Japan and South Africa, also sell lingerie to Newcastle boutiques, include the Looking Glass Boutique, Anjeniques and Mia Sposa Bridal.
