A man was left with life-threatening injuries after an assault in Newcastle.
The attack happened at around 2.30am on Sunday, July 1, by the Riverside Bar on the Quayside.
Police say a 20-year-old man was found unconscious on the pavement outside the premises. He was taken to hospital where his injuries are described as life threatening.
