Former Newcastle United 'keeper Pavel Srnicek has heaped praise on Steve Harper whose 20 years at the club comes to an end on July 1 and says he deserves a testimonial.
Harper bid a tearful farewell to Newcastle United after playing in their last game of the season at home to Arsenal but has said he wants to continue playing.
Srnicek joined Newcastle around the same time as Harper and says that the club owe Harper a debt of gratitude for his service.
Pavel Srnicek said: "I remember Steve from when he was 15-years-old when I came to Newcastle.
"I was really pleased for Steve for the amount of time that he has spent at this club.
"I hope the club take the right way and say goodbye to the player which has given the club so much."
