Newcastle United are given a triple boost with the return of goalkeeper Tim Krul and defenders Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor from injury for the Wear-Tyne derby.
Newcastle have lost just once at the Stadium of Light but Alan Pardew thinks this is the strongest Sunderland side he has faced as a manager.
He said: “They have certainly got a few players who could get in our team. Fletcher is probably the pick of them at the minute.
“It seems to be gold dust whatever he hits, so we have to be very aware of him.”
But, returning defender Taylor disagrees with his manager’s assessment.
When asked if any Sunderland players would get in Newcastle’s side, Taylor replied: “Not even one player, that is the quality we possess."
Martin Atkinson will referee the 147th meeting between the sides, which has been marred by red cards in the past.
Atkinson has shown more cards than any other Premier League referee this season.
The game is live on Sky Sports One HD from 1pm.
