Former Newcastle United defender John Beresford says form 'will count for nothing' when his old side take on Sunderland.
Both sides go into the 147th meeting between the two following 3-0 defeats to Manchester teams, with Sunderland losing at Manchester City, and Manchester United leaving St. James' Park with three points.
Beresford said: "Both sides will be wanting to bounce back from heavy defeats but this is a one off and its all about who shows up and wants it more on the day."
