Lille have signed Djibril Sidibe from Troyes for €2m but that purchase does not guarantee Mathieu Debuchy will join Newcastle United.
Manager Rudi Garcia has previously stated that the club will not let Debuchy leave until they have signed a replacement.
Sidibe is earmarked as 'one for the future' and not necessarily expected to feature regularly for Lille next season.
Debuchy remains under contract at the club and it appears Newcastle must increase their bid to secure his services.
