Newcastle United Women's Football Club held open trials for players, as they prepare for life in the Premier League.
Twenty prospective players turned up for the trials at the University of Northumbria's Coach Lane campus, and gave coaches Michael Havelock and Warren Teasdale plenty to think about.
"We have been very impressed," Michael Havelock said.
"We're looking for something a little bit special, players who match our standard or better."
"We need to increase our squad numbers going into the Women's Premier League."
