James Perch has been pleased with Newcastle United's start to the season but is hoping results and performances will get even better after the international break.

The Magpies have shown only glimpses of the form that carried them to a fifth-place finish in the Premier League last term, but they have battled hard in the early weeks of the campaign.
Versatile defender Perch is now keen to help Newcastle push on from their current position of tenth, starting with next Sunday's derby clash against Sunderland.
"It's been a bit up and down performance-wise," he told the club's official website.
"We've pulled off some good results and had a few wobbly performances, but overall I think we can look back and say we are quite happy with what we've done so far.
"It goes without saying though that there's room for improvement and that's what we are intending to do over the next few weeks."
