The Senegal international enjoyed a productive debut season at St James' Park in 2011/12, netting 16 times in all competitions.
His efforts have caught the attention of the Magpies' Premier League rivals, and clubs across Europe.
Ba is known to have a buy-out clause in his contract which can be activated up until the end of July.
No offers have been tabled as yet, but Newcastle are aware that they cannot afford to relax just yet.
Pardew is hoping potential suitors will continue to steer well clear of his star striker, with it his intention to see Ba start the new season alongside fellow countryman Papiss Cisse.
Focus
"I want Demba to stay," he said.
"He's a Newcastle player and all I'm focusing on is making sure he's a Newcastle player next season."
The Magpies cannot afford to see top talents heading for the exits, with competition on domestic and European fronts next season set to test them to the full.
Pardew added: "Expectations are going to be greater next season, and I accept that.
"We competed with the top teams all last season and we have to try to achieve the same again next year.
"But the European campaign will put pressure on us, big time."
