Newcastle Falcons forward James Hudson says his side will face a difficult season in the Championship.
The Falcons were relegated after an RFU ruling on London Welsh replacing them in the Premiership was overturned.
Initially, Welsh were deemed to be unable meet the 'minimum standards criteria' set out to host Premiership rugby at their new home ground - the Kassam Stadium which they will share with Oxford United.
But that decision was successfulyy appealed and now the Falcons must play in the Championship next season after finishing bottom of the Premiership.
But, after a summer of change at Kingston Park and with Dean Richards soon to take over as director of rugby former captain Hudson sees a tough season ahead when sides will treat each game against Newcastle as a 'cup final'.
