Gateshead Thunder Lose 40-14 To Oldham In The Co-operative Championship

Gateshead Thunder have lost their first two opening league games of The Co-operative Championship with a defeat at Oldham.

Thunder started well, but an early defensive error meant Oldham were spurred on to take a 12-0 lead.

The best period of the game for Thunder came in the second half with Ryan Steen, Josh Neilson and Mike Mitchell all picking up tries.
