Manager Ian Bogie put his players through their paces at Gateshead College for the final time this week before setting off for Staffordshire on Saturday morning.
Bogie and his team will be going after three points, but also revenge after Tamworth beat them in this season's FA Cup second round, denying Gateshead a trip to face Everton.
A win for Gateshead could put them level on points with Southport in fifth, but the Gateshead boss does not want any added pressure on his players and accepts they are no longer in control of where they could now finish.
Bogie said: "We have to accept it's out of our hands now, and we are relying on other teams around us to drop points. But this league is so unpredictable and we have to just concentrate on our own form."

Gateshead failed to make it three wins in a week after being held by Tamworth in Staffordshire.
Jon Shaw put Gateshead ahead after 26 minutes with a close range header.
Right on half time Tamworth were awarded a penalty after James Curtis was adjudged to have fouled Scott Barrow.
Jean-Paul Marna stepped up and beat Paul Farman to level the score.
Gateshead now sit three points off a play-off spot.
