The first half though was evenly balanced with the former UTS player Lee Bell outstanding in the visitors' defence.
It wasn't until the 58th minute that the deadlock was broken as Lewis Teasdale crashed the ball past goalkeeper Thomas Courtney.
The goal inspired the home side who then scored another three goals in the final 14 minutes.
Danny Craggs' long-range free kick went in off the far post and Ian Herron scored a superb individual goal.
By now, Dunston were rampant and with a minute remaining, Terry Galbraith broke through for his team's fourth goal.
Right on time, Dunston goalkeeper Andy Clark made a great save to deny Adam Burnicle a consolation goal for the Mariners.
