89 At The Cosmic Ballroom With Allister Whitehead

Big name DJ"s are returning to the North East over the next month at a new club night opening in Newcastle.

'89' @ Cosmic Ballroom, formerly the Stage Door, will see the likes of Brandon Block, Graeme Park, and Kenzi on the decks playing to clubbers at the new retro night.

The launch night is this Saturday the 30th of June with none other than Allister Whitehead headlining.

Steve Wraith, one of the promoters,  is excited about the potential that '89' has, he said: "There are five of us involved in the project and it's something we have had in mind for quite a while.

"No club looks after the older crowd and 1989 holds a special place in a lot our hearts and likewise the DJ's from that era.

"Downstairs will be reminiscent to the old 'warehouse' parties in the '80's whilst upstairs we will have 'Shaft' our resident DJ playing some old school indie.

"'Cosmic' is a great venue to launch our concept and I really hope clubbers buy into it."

Doors open 11pm on Saturday with Allister Whitehead on at 1am and you can pay £8 on the door.
