Newcastle's first burrito bar is now open.

'Me and my business partner Dave Wright have always had an interest and

passion for Mexican food. Mexican food has strong interesting flavours yet

has a simplicity which lends it self to our concept.

Having worked in Newcastle and tried almost every eatery during our working

life, We felt that there was something lacking both in taste and variety

hence this is where Zapatista was born.'

Zapatista is Newcastle's first dedicated Mexican inspired Burrito Bar. Positioned in the busy shopping and student district just set off Northumberland Street our three story homage to mexican culture and food stands proud. Our traditional Mexican burritos have been years in the making, perfecting a recipe, and sourcing the finest ingredients. We strive to provide amazing quality food, hand made before your eyes, to your exact specification, in no time at all. We then provide the option to sit down, grab a soda, and eat with us, or simply takeaway, and eat on the move.
