Heavy overnight rain that continued throughout the morning left the outfield waterlogged, with no chance of it drying out enough to allow even a reduced overs game to be played at Grace Road.

The abandonment gave the sides one point each, leaving the Foxes still rooted to the bottom of the group table with just two wins from nine games, after lifting the trophy last season.

Although the Dynamos cannot finish in the top two, they still have a chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals as one of the best two third-placed teams if they can beat Lancashire Lightning on Sunday when they have home advantage.
