Durham’s Graham Onions took three wickets on his return to action for England.

Conceding 56 runs from his 24 overs, Onions took the second wicket of the West Indies’ first innings on the rain delayed third test at Edgbaston.

His first wicket was opener Adrian Barath who he trapped for LBW for 41.

Tim Bresnan also chipped in with three wickets and Steven Finn also struck twice.

Onions’ second wicket of the day came after West Indies had amassed 152.

Narsingh Deonarine was his victim as captain Andrew Strauss caught him at slip.

The Durham bowler also took the final wicket of the day as he clean bowled Sunil Narine for two.

And on the third day of the five day fame, the West Indies ended on 280 for eight.
