Newcastle Eagles will have more games next season in the season after Manchester Giants and East London Royals were accepted into the BBL.

The Royals are the only London-based side in the competition while the Giants are one of three north-west franchises in the top flight.

The Royals will be based out of Dagenham and have never played in the BBL’s top division.

But, the Giants are a resurrection of a previous franchise of a similar name and will be based out of the Wright Robinson Sports College’.

The Eagles swept the board last season winning all four of the trophies they competed in.
