The former Eagles man is hoping to win the play-offs with his current side Leicester Riders.

Fabulous Flournoy's side are currently considered 'BBL champions' but Sullivan wants that to change to fall in line with other nations.

He said: “From when I was playing as a kid, in the states or in Europe that is how it has always been.

“The team that wins their last game is considered the champion and it’s something that hopefully in the near future we will adopt.”

Sullivan was part of the last Eagles side to win all four trophies but says he is not focussed on preventing them from repeating that feat in the final on May 12.

He said: “I’m not out there to stop them, I’m out there to help my club win some silverware if that happens along the way then so be it.

“They (Eagles) have had a really good season this year, they should be extremely proud of what they have done.”
