The Eagles overcame a nine-point deficit from the first leg to lift the trophy for the fourth time in six years.
There was an electric atmosphere at Sport Central, with fans intent on making as much noise as possible after some were given a ‘code of conduct’ in Plymouth.
The away side initially managed to silence them by extending their lead to double figures from tip-off.
The Eagles eased their way into the match, and a blistering second quarter wiped out Gavin Love side’s advantage.
Plymouth regained some control in the third quarter as Jeremy Bell worked towards his 29-point contribution on the night.
Paul Gause top scored for Eagles with 19, and Andrew Thompson impressed with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Plymouth led by just one point going into the final quarter, Gause netted first and then two crucial three pointers from Joe Chapman and Charles Smith helped Newcastle take control.
